FPU2023-Toxicidad de micro- y nano-plásticos en placenta

The Environmental Toxicology group (IDAEA-CSIC) is looking for predoctoral candidates for a 4-year contract to work on the development of 3D spheroids from lung and placenta cells as in-vitro models to assess the effects of plastics in human health. The candidate will also work on the development of new biomarkers of metabolic disturbances based on the integration of different -omic technologies, including metabolomics and lipidomics. Candidates must hold a degree in Biomedicine, Biochemistry or any other relevant scientific/ technical discipline. A master degree in Toxicology/Analytical Chemistry/Biomedicine and some experience in assessing the biological effects of contaminants at different biological levels will be appreciated. Other requirements: interest/experience in alternative in-vitro methods, good academic record, strong team worker, English fluently spoken, good ability to write papers/reports in English.
