Soil and water contamination: Diagnosis, prevention and/or remediation

Assessment and diagnosis of soil and water contamination by pesticides, toxic elements and other emerging organic pollutants in agricultural areas and development of physicochemical technologies for pollution prevention based on the immobilization of contaminants or the stablishment of remediation strategies. Future challenges in Agricultural Sciences: 1. Monitoring-digitisation and prevention of pollution , and modelling of pollutant dynamics in agricultural soils through sustainable management practices in a climate change scenario. 2. Circular economy processes applied to the protection and improvement of the environment against pollution in a scenario of climate change.
