Ultrasonic Resonators for microcmanipulation and cavitation(RESULT)

RESULT group develops a new ultrasonic technology for ultrasonic manipulation of particles, cells and tissues, with bioemdical, environmental and outer space applicacions, involving sorting, separation and cell fixation, as well as modification of tissues and tumors or bubbly liquids. The group also study nonlinear mechanisms involved in the biodynamics of cell migration and effects induced on tumored tissues by low intenstity ultrasounds. The group was consolidated as international reference developing a pioneer label-free technology for early detection in cancer based in ultrasounds desease(http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn20531-sound-waves-can-identify-cancers-that-have-spread.html ). Collaborates with Universities (Harvard Medical School/L. Steele Lab for study of tumor biology, University of Uruguay Republic) and hospitals (Massachusetts HGM, Ramón y Cajal, Elche)
