Social and Political Philosophy (FISOPOL)

This group adopts a multidisciplinary research approach, drawing upon social and political philosophy, with the objective of formulating a theoretical framework of justice that encompasses and interconnects various dimensions, including: (1) spatial dimensions, such as global justice, migratory patterns, environmental concerns, urban dynamics and post-national citizenship; (2) temporal dimensions, including memory, history, and the role of narrative in shaping identity; (3) gender dimensions, encompassing human rights, feminisms, and inter-ethnic relations; and (4) cultural diversity dimensions, involving the study of identities, interculturalism, and nationalisms. The group is situated within the domain of SOCIETY, yet it exhibits a pronounced interdisciplinary character.
