Hydrology and Geochemistry

The Group of Underground Hydrology and Hydrogeochemistry (HSH) carries out research, teaching and transfer of knowledge to society in the field of hydrogeology and geochemistry. It is made up of 8 post-docs (J. Lapeyre, E. Torres, J Carrera, C Ayora, M Dentz, I Queralt, J Soler, E Vàzquez, J Cama and V Vilarrasa) S. de Simone, C. Valhondo, J. Hidalgo, V. Hakoun, T. Aquino, J. Palau, C. Chaparro, L. Scheiber and M Pool) and several doctoral students. Many of our activities are coordinated by our Associate Unit, the Underground Hydrology Group of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (UPC), formed by 6 career researchers (E. Custodio, X. Sánchez-Vila, L. Candela, M Saaltink, D. Fernández and L. Martínez), and 2 post-docs (P. Rodriguez and A. Folch). The group has published more than 450 articles in indexed journals, organized national and international congresses and has an important international dimension.
