Growth, population structure and applications of sclerochronology in fished marine species

The CRECES group has a double mission: on the one hand, to research the age and growth of marine species, mainly fish of interest in Spanish fisheries, in order to develop validated growth models that can be applied in the evaluation and sustainable management of their populations. On the other hand, to deepen the knowledge of life strategies and evolution of biological parameters throughout the life cycle of species and their relationship with ecological and environmental processes, in order to advance in the knowledge of the anthropic impact and the effect of environmental changes on the life history of populations.
