Electrochemistry and Corrosion (ECORR)

The ECORR Research Group (Surface Electrochemistry and Corrosion), created in 2017, is the fusion of two previously existing Groups, SURFPROT (Nanocomposite Materials and Tailored Thin Films) and PIC (Interfacial Corrosion Processes). Its research activities are integrated within two priority research lines for the CENIM: 1. Corrosion Processes in Conventional and Advanced Materials. 2. Corrosion Protection and Surface Functionalization. The aim of the ECORR research group is to carry out research in the field of Corrosion Science and the protection of metallic materials, generating knowledge and improving the resources available for a more sustainable society. The Group's staff has extensive experience in corrosion and protection of metallic materials and its members are internationally recognized experts in the field of Corrosion Science and Technology.
