Health and Biotechnology (SaBio)

Health and Biotechnology (SaBio; www.SaBio-IREC.com) contributes to health, production and conservation through research and development. SaBio strengths include a pronounced cross-disciplinarity, high levels of internationalization, scientific productivity and knowledge transfer capabilities. SaBio integrates some 40 excellent researchers in biotechnology, reproduction, health and related fields. Of these, 9 enjoy permanent contracts with UCLM or CSIC. In 2012, SaBio had 1.5 international co-authorships per paper, produced 74 papers in 33 SCI journals (mean IF 2.76, 82% Q1), and generated over 2.5 millon € in grants and contracts.
