Erosion and Soil and Water Evaluation

Research topics of the group are: i) water erosion and soil and nutrient redistribution (C and N); ii) erosion factors (soil types, land use, rainfall erosivity); and iii) agroclimatology and hydrologic resources in the agriculture. The group uses a variety of methods including soil characterization and mapping, isotopic and nuclear analysis, field process monitoring, and numerical simulation. The group aims at generating new knowledge as well as developing innovative applied tools including scientific software and datasets, information and decision support systems. The group maintains a wide network of national and international collaborators, and has an important international projection, with participation in projects FAO/IAEA (UN) and EU, and as a partner in the formation of porstgraduate scholarships by the UN. The group belongs to the research group 'Geomorphology and Global Change' that includes researchers from EEAD–CSIC, IPE–CSIC, and the University of Zaragoza
