Agro-meteorological monitoring of crops and experimental environments in real time

Benefit description

This service consists in the installation, maintenance, data collection, storage and presentation to the user of environmental variables measured by agro-meteorological stations in the vicinity of agronomic or forestry experiments carried out in outdoors environments. By acquiring the service, the user - ideally a researcher who must carry out experimental field trials - obtains the complete environmental monitoring ad high temporal definition (every minute, with averages calculated according to the needs) in the exact place of the experiment with quality and installation conditions according to the World Meteorological Organization standard. The primary variables are always air temperature and humidity, solar radiation, wind speed and direction. Alternative variables can be soil temperature, canopy temperature, CO2 concentration or others following the user's request. The secondary variables (calculated) can be air vapor pressure deficit, dew point, net radiation, reference evapotranspiration (Penman-Monteith-FAO) and Crop Water Stress Index, accumulated chilling units, thermal time and any other index or variable of interest for the user's needs. The service can be applied also in controlled environments or indoors, for example greenhouses or growing chambers.
