Service description

INFRARED SPECTROSCOPY OF SOLID SAMPLES Information aobout the interaction of the material to the IR radiation will be provided. Transmission and reflection configurations are possible. The solid samples must have a minimum surface of 10 mm x 10 mm. Powdered samples can also be studied by dispersion in KBr pellets. Two instruments are available: 1) Bruker IFS-66 FTIR spectrometer- Spectral range 8000-500 cm-1. Samples at room temperature and ambient pressure. Available configurations: transmission and specular reflection at variable angle. 2) Bruker Vertex 70 FTIR spectrometer. Spectral range: 16000 - 500 cm-1. A He-cooled cryostat can cool the samples down to 10 K. Available configurations: transmission and reflection-absorption at grazing incidence (RAIRS).
