Cleanroom treatments and sample digestion

Benefit description

The Andalchron clean room treatment and sample digestion unit offers auxiliary services of chemical sample preparation (acid digestion and ion exchange liquid chromatography) for geochronological analysis. This service is provided solely and exclusively in support of Andalchron mass spectrometry services and not as a stand-alone service. The use of the clean room and acid digestion room cabins is only available according to internal demand and must be carried out in collaboration with the scientific advisors and for specific uses and samples approved by the scientific advisor of the service; their external use is not possible without prior authorization and without the supervision of the advisor and the technical manager of the service. 1) For quality assurance purposes, only the protocols already established by the service, which have been verified and validated through the quality control of reference materials and participation in inter-laboratory tests, may be used. Due to the high economic cost and extensive time required for the development and verification of new analytical protocols, the service reserves the right to offer new experimental protocols under development within the framework of a collaboration agreement. 2) Discounts may be applied for uses requiring intensive sessions during the night and weekends, according to the terms established by the regulations governing the CSIC's Scientific and Technical Services (SCTs). 3) For internal use (CSIC), this service is only offered in self-service mode (user operation) depending on availability based on service demand. Self-service can only be carried out by trained users, with training for the use of the infrastructure and prior authorization from the technical manager of the service.
