PIF2025 - Developmental Predisposition for Synaptopathies - (PID2024-160995NB-I00)

With this proposal, we aim to decipher generalisable principles behind normal and abnormal cortex development. We will combine models to explore the influence of genetic and environmental stressors on the synaptic proteome and cortex connectivity. Specifically, we will use two ASD mouse models (Taok2 KO and 16p11.2 microdeletion) as genetic stressors and a mouse model of Maternal Immune Activation (MIA) as an environmental stressor to mechanistically decipher their role affecting the synaptic proteome and the synaptic pathways related to neuronal connectivity.
