VHEGA (Very High Energy Group for Astrophysics)

The group investigates the most extreme and violent events in the universe through multi-wavelength astronomical observations. It has a long track of astrophysical research on active galactic nuclei, galactic compact objects and their environments and other highly energetic and transient sources at all spectral ranges from radio up to gamma-ray energies. The group is also specialist in software development, including AI techniques, for astronomical data analysis and archives. The group is also part of the CTAO Consortium, and of the LST Collaboration that builds the largest telescopes of CTAO in La Palma (Spain) and Paranal (Chile), as well as for the MAGIC Collaboration, also operating on the island of La Palma.
