Research group on Cryptology and Information Security


GiCSI deals with the Research & development of advanced techniques to grant Security, Authenticity, Integrity and Privacy to the information transmitted or stored by electronic means. It has wide experience in: 1) design of systems for text, image and voice encryption and their cryptanalysis; 2) protocols for pseudo random number generators, digital signatures and hash functions; 3) security of secret and public cryptosystems (distribution of primes, discrete logarithm and elliptic curves). The members of the GiCSI ALSO impart teaching in master's programs and courses in cryptography, cybersecurity and information assurance.
