Ocean-Climate System Assessment Unit

The Unit for Evaluation of the Ocean–Climate System investigates the integrated functioning of the ocean–climate system at the global scale, with particular emphasis on the observation, assessment and synthesis of key physical and climatic processes. Its activity focuses on the analysis of oceanic and climate data and on the integration of scientific knowledge across the Earth system. The Unit also examines the coherence between scientific assessment and the multilateral frameworks that govern its international implementation, contributing to strengthening the scientific basis of decision-making in the climate–ocean domain.
