Cell stress and Immunosurveillance

The Cellular Stress and Immunosurveillance group, led by Dr. Laura Senovilla, Scientific Researcher at the CSIC, began its activity at the IBGM in 2021 after Dr. Senovilla joined from INSERM, France. The group has been strengthened in recent years with the addition of various postdoctoral and predoctoral researchers, technicians, and master's and undergraduate students. The group studies the mechanisms of cellular stress response, as well as the involvement of the immune system in these processes, in cancer and chronic diseases. The group's various lines of research are aimed at studying these mechanisms in order to identify new therapeutic targets and/or propose new treatments for diseases such as: atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumors (ATRTs), gliomas, meningiomas, breast cancer, liver cancer, cholangiocarcinoma, chronic liver diseases, and chronic kidney disease.
