La plataforma automatizada de cristalografía (PAC) es una plataforma de tecnología destinada a prestar apoyo a proyectos de biología estructural. Ofrece los investigadores las herramientas necesarias para encontrar las condiciones adecuadas de cristalización de proteínas y ácidos nucleicos , optimización de condiciones de cristalización, difracción de rayos x y herramientas de procesado de datos.

Benefit description
SEC-UV-MALS-RI system allows the determination of absolute molecular weight of biomolecules (proteins, nucleic acids, and complexes) from all the species in a sample that undergo fractionation according to size in a gel filtration column. Technical specifications of the system: Prominence Liquid Chromatography (Shimadzu) : DGU (degasser) + LCD20-ADsp (pump) + SIL-20AC (autosampler) + CTO-20AC (column compartment) + SPD-20A (UV-VIS) MALS and RI detectors (Wyatt): DAWN HELEOS II (MALS) and OPTILAB t-REX (RI) Available gel filtration columns: Superdex 75, 200 and Superose 6 10/300 Increase (GE) + LW803 and KW802.5 (Shodex) Sample and buffer requirements: Preparation of buffer by the user: 1-2L (non-filtered) Sample injection volume: variable 1-500 microlitres Sample concentration: flexible, recommended 50-100 micrograms (depending on theoretical Mw) minimum in each injection| Options | Unit | Public Sector | Other customers |

La Plataforma de Interacciones Biomoleculares dispone de equipos especializados para cuantificar interacciones entre moléculas, y evaluar su calidad y homogeneidad. Técnicas disponibles: - Termoforesis a microescala (MST). Se dispone de un Monolith NT.115pico de Nanotemper, con detector Pico RED. - Interferometría de Biocapa (BLI). BLItz de ForteBio y un Octet R8 de Sartorius. - Cromatografía de Exclusión por Tamaño con Dispersión de Luz Multiángulo (SEC-MALS): TREOS MALS y el T-rEX Refractive Index Detector de Wyatt Technologies, acoplados a un HPLC. - Dispersión de Luz Dinámica (DLS). DynaPro Nanostar de Wyatt Technologies. - Fluorimetría de Barrido Diferencial (DSF/Thermofluor): Equipos de PCR en tiempo real como el CFX Opus 96 de Bio-Rad y el 7500 Fast Real-Time PCR System de Applied Biosystems. - Resonancia de Plasmón Superficial (SPR) Se dispone de un OpenSPR de Nicoya. - Calorimetría de Titulación Isotérmica (ITC): El IBV cuenta con el equipo Nano ITC de TA Instruments.

- Size Exclusion Chromatography with Multi-angle Light Scattering (SEC-MALS): The IBV has the TREOS MALS detector and the T-rEX Refractive Index Detector from Wyatt Technologies, coupled to a Shimadzu liquid chromatography system.
