El objetivo principal del Servicio de Transformación Genética y Cultivo in Vitro de Plantas del IHSM es proporcionar apoyo a los grupos de investigación del Instituto y otros OPIs, así como a empresas del sector agrícola que pudieran estar interesadas, en la aplicación de herramientas biotecnológicas esenciales para la manipulación genética y la clonación de plantas. En concreto: 1. Transformación mediada por Agrobacterium tumefaciens de fresa (Fragaria x ananassa), Nicotiana benthamiana, Solanum lycopersicum y Prunus domestica. 2. Técnicas de cultivo in vitro de fresa, olivo y Prunus (Establecimiento, multiplicación y mantenimiento de cultivos in vitro). 3. Asesoramiento en la puesta a punto de protocolos de transformación, regeneración y edición genética (CRISPR/Cas).
Production of transformed plants
Benefit description
The production of transgenic lines of different plant species is offered (consult variants) through the use of optimized transformation protocols with Agrobacterium tumefaciens. It is essential that users of this service provide the transformed Agrobacterium tumefaciens strains with the necessary constructs to generate the transgenic lines. The service concludes with the delivery of the transgenic lines (resistant to the selection agent) rooted in vitro. Therefore, the service does not include any molecular testing of the generated plants.
