Service description

The Oddy Tests are designed to evaluate the corrosiveness of materials used in museum environments. Their objective is to determine if and to what extent the materials present in the elements that surround the metallic objects in the collections can negatively affect them due to the emission of harmful volatile compounds. The tests are carried out with samples of the materials to be evaluated, which are arranged together with specimens of the metals potentially affected under accelerated corrosion conditions.
