Soil and water conservation in agroecosystems

The Group's research is oriented to the study and resolution of problems related to the use and conservation of soil and water resources in agro-forest systems. To this end, activities are focused on the characterization of soil properties and processes that affect soil quality and on the proposal of use and management alternatives that improve the productivity and sustainability of Mediterranean agricultural and forest systems. The CONSA research group is part of the Ecological Restoration Research Group, RESTECOL (E40_23R) (https://restauracionecologica.csic.es/), a research group recognized by the Government of Aragon. RESTECOL is composed of a team of 12 researchers from IPE-CSIC, EEAD-CSIC and IUCA-UZ, and its objective is to provide the essential scientific evidence to support the sustainable management of natural and agricultural resources and the restoration of ecosystems.
