Salinity in seawater

Benefit description

Analysis of discrete seawater salinity samples in the range of 30-37. The analysis follows the protocol and quality controls outlined in the GO-SHIP HydroManual (2010), with enhancements proposed by the EU EuroGO-SHIP project. Results will be delivered with a report, metadata, and quality labels. Scientific and technical advisory services will also be provided for sampling and analysis, primarily using Portasal or Autosal instruments. The service will conduct analyses and provide corresponding reports for samples received in the laboratory and/or supply the sampling procedure and materials. Sample collection will not be performed. Service quality is based on external and internal standards related to seawater salinity analysis. Samples must be properly labeled, and spatial and temporal metadata must be provided to ensure primary quality control.
