Service description

The service has a TAM Air equipment for the measurement of heat flow of pastes of cementitious materials. It consists of a single block with eight channels for eight simultaneous measurements. Each channel is double, one for the sample and one for the reference, which must have the same heat capacity as the sample. The calorimetric block is thermostated by a forced airflow through a Peltier module. When heat is produced in the sample, the temperature of the module changes and a voltage proportional to the heat flow is generated through the Peltier module. Both the samples and references are placed in an ampoule with a volume of 20 ml which is subsequently sealed to prevent heat loss
