Service's description

El objetivo principal del Laboratorio de Pulvimetalurgia del Departamento de Metalurgia Física del CENIM es la fabricación de materiales metálicos y materiales compuestos de matriz metálica a partir de polvos metálicos. El laboratorio abarca todas la etapas de esta fabricación. Desde la obtención de los polvos metálicos, la mezcla o molienda mecánicas y la consolidación final.

Service description

Inert Gas atomizer for producing rapid solidified metallic powders (Max. temperature 1700ºC and max. crucible capacity 2l) The metal is melted in an induction furnace under controlled atmosphere (nitrogen, argon, helium ...). The liquid is poured over a hole where a gas is injected at high pressure generating metal droplets that rapidly solidify to form metal powders.
