Analysis of membrane lipids in complex matrices by HPLC/MS
Benefit description
The analysis of membrane lipids in complex matrices is performed by high-performance liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry, HPLC/MS (Agilent). The chromatographic separation of lipid compounds is carried out in the liquid phase, allowing the resolution of different families of polar and neutral lipids present in the sample. The detection and identification of compounds are performed by mass spectrometry using electrospray ionisation (ESI) and atmospheric pressure chemical ionisation (APCI) sources, which broaden the range of detectable compounds according to their polarity, chemical structure, and ionisation behaviour. This service is intended for the characterisation of membrane lipid profiles in complex environmental, biological, microbiological, or geochemical samples, including extracts from soils, sediments, biofilms, microbial biomass, tissues, or other organic matrices.| Options | Unit | Public Sector | Other customers |
