Final Master’s Degree Project

The Final Master’s Degree Project (TFM) is a subject included within the curriculum in which the student applies the acquired knowledge, skills and competences of the course to solve a specific problem of its field of study.

In the last four years, CSIC researchers have directed an average of 1,000 TFMs each year. Generally, the standard regulation of the Masters includes the following obligations for TFM directors, that may vary depending on each Master’s case:

1.    To establish in a clear way he TFM’s objectives as well as the methodology and the working plan.
2.    To provide guidance, advise and support to students during the work process.
3.    To monitor students those decision-makings that affect the work’s structure, treatment of topics, correct presentation and bibliographic references.
4.    To determine the completion of the proposed objectives and authorise the TFM presentation.
5.    To know and inform the students about the management procedures of the TFM.
