MORPHOGENESIS AND NEURODEGENERATION OF THE VERTEBRATE CNS

Our research has focused on understanding the processes of morphogenesis and neurodegeneration in the central nervous system (CNS) of vertebrates. We aim to unravel the intricate mechanisms that govern the development and organization of the CNS, as well as the factors that contribute to its dysfunction and degeneration in neurodegenerative diseases. Through a combination of molecular, cellular, and genetic approaches, we seek to uncover key regulatory pathways, cellular interactions, and molecular players that shape the formation and maintenance of the CNS, providing insights into potential therapeutic targets for neurodegenerative conditions.
