Molecular Activation Through Organometallic Complexes

The group is formed during the period to be evaluated by 4 staff researchers and one POhD student. The research carried out on the group is focused on the organometallic chemistry field, therefore its activity involves the synthesis, reactivity, structure and applications of organometallic compounds. The focus of this research is basic research. The most general descriptors of our research are 1) Functionalization of simple organic molecules to give tailored modified species, using organometallic intermediates as synthetic toolbox. 2) Design of compounds with potential applications in catalysis, nanoparticles synthesis, solid electrolytes, luminescence or in the liquid crystals field.
