Materials Recycling

The Research Group is working since 2000 under two Principal Researchers (Moisés Frías y M. Isabel Sánchez de Rojas) although, considering the requirements of this application, the responsibility has been assigned for alternating periods. The main activities developed by this research group are: 1. Recycling of materials, searching for adequate applications taking into account their characteristics, 2. Valorization of by-products in new and innovative materials and 3. Development of new products with advanced performance and functionalities. The main objective of the research group is to establish the scientific, technical, environmental and social basis for the development of new and innovative cement-based materials more eco-efficient than those conventionally used. These activities are included in the CSIC areas: Matter and Society + Matter. The research lines of this group are aligned with SDG: 9, 11, 12 and 13.
