High-Energy Astrophysics and Robotic Astronomy Group

The ARAE (High-Energy Astrophysics and Robotic Astronomy) Group at IAA-CSIC has focused in multiwavelength observations of astrophysical objects and stellar population synthesis models, besides developing robotic astronomical observatories worldwide and astronomical instrumentation, leading the BOOTES Network of Robotic Telescopes worldwide. With more than 300 publications -with 6 in Science and 17 in Nature amongst them- and 3 patents and 1 utility model, the ARAE group leads target-of-opportunity programs at major observatories and is part of several international collaborations. Members of the group have participated at co-I level in different space missions such as INTEGRAL (led by ESA, the European Space Agency) and Lomomonov/UFFOp (led by the Russian Space Agency, ROSCOSMOS), and is involved in on-going mission concepts proposed to M7 ESA mission (THESEUS), selected in 2024 for phase A/0 study.
