Effective Field Theories in Hadron and Nuclear Physics

With the help of effective field theory, built upon the symmetries of fundamental interactions, and many-body techniques, we study a broad range of open problems regarding the properties and interactions of light and heavy hadrons in the vacuum and in dense and/or hot media, dynamically-generated resonances and exotic states, nuclear response functions, neutrino interactions with matter and nonlinear dynamics of complex systems. Special emphasis is placed on the scientific program of the European laboratory FAIR (PANDA and CBM experiments), LHCb as well as the needs and opportunities offered by the current and future neutrino physics experimental program (T2K, MicroBooNE, MINERvA, DUNE experiments).
