Chemical Transducers

The Chemical Transducers Group (GTQ) carries out applied research and technological development on integrated microanalytical systems for the measurement of (bio)chemical parameters in liquids, being highly versatile and easily adapted to different measurement scenarios. GTQ develops chemical sensors and microfluidic components to produce smart systems including lab-on-chip platforms, wearable devices, multisensing approaches and combinations thereof. Different strategies for the monolithic and/or hybrid integration of chemical transducers with microfluidic components, are pursued. Silicon technologies together with microfabrication and rapid prototyping techniques are applied for implementing affordable and sustainable materials. GTQ works in an interdisciplinary environment under UNE-EN-ISO 9001:2015 (IQNet) with a clear focus on technology transfer, offering market solutions to analytical needs in various industrial sectors and aiming to contribute to some of the SDGs set by WHO.
