ANIMAL DEMOGRAPHY AND ECOLOGY
The group focuses on understanding the demography of wildlife populations in space and time, with relevance to applied ecology and conservation. Using long-term individual-based capture–mark–recapture data, individual animal movement data and community level monitoring, the team harnesses advanced statistical modelling and conservation planning tools, from local to global scales. The overarching aim is to quantify demographic parameters, population trends, individual life-history tactics, community composition dynamics to identify key areas for biodiversity conservation under varying environmental pressures and anthropogenic threats.
