NANOMOL: Molecular nanoscience and organic materials

NANOMOL is a large and interdisciplinary research group with a wide expertise and recognized excellence in the synthesis, processing, characterization, and physico-chemical studies of molecular and polymeric functional materials. We aim to generate new knowledge on the nanostructuring of molecular materials in order to improve the properties of products manufactured in diverse economical sectors, such as electronic, pharmaceutical, and biomedicine. As research group of the Biomedical Research Networking Centre in Bioengineering, Biomaterials and Nanomedicine (CIBER-BBN), NANOMOL is taking advantage of its synergies for developing novel aspects in Nanomedicine. The group is also very active in the transfer to the industrial sector of nanotechnology and economically efficient technologies for preparing advanced materials as well as on the development of practical devices being members of the technology transfer network of the Generalitat de Catalunya, TECNIO.
