Variety of turnip top native to Galicia: CIMOS DE MIÑO (Brassica Rapa L. var. rapa)
Native variety of turnip greens recovered in the province of Ourense. It has a high nutritional value due to its high content of glucosinolates, known for their beneficial effects on health.

The market demands plant varieties that are resistant to diseases, stresses, climate change, etc., as well as the recovery of native varieties that are being lost due to lack of use and maintenance. Furthermore, the conservation and improvement of plant varieties contributes to the maintenance of biodiversity.
- Proposed solution

The Cimos de Miño turnip green variety is a native variety originating from the province of Ourense. It has great culinary interest and high nutritional value due to its high content of antioxidant compounds and glucosinolates, known for their beneficial effects on health.
The sowing and harvest period is in autumn-winter, its production cycle is early-medium and its flowering cycle is medium.
Its cultivation areas are the northwest Atlantic as well as mid-altitude areas in the south of the Iberian Peninsula.
