II ADVANCED SCHOOL ON GALAXY EVOLUTION
The Advanced School on Galaxy Evolution is designed for researchers at all career stages interested in the formation and evolution of galaxies. The school is ideally positioned to offer an up-to-date scientific perspective on the recent exciting findings in extragalactic research; it consistently goes beyond standard textbook knowledge, offering valuable insights into the current frontiers of research in both theory and observation. It strongly promotes personal interaction between lecturers and participants, fostering a welcoming environment ideal for learning and sharing knowledge. The lectures and tutorials will be highly interactive, allowing ample time for questions and discussion.
-SCIENCE TOPICS
First Galaxies in the JWST era: theoretical and observational perspectives.
Dynamics and chemical enrichment of galaxies and their environment; chemodynamics. Modelling and numerical simulations.
Active galactic nuclei and their multi-wavelength properties; massive Black Holes, and the interaction with galaxy hosts. Impact of the 'monsters' on the environment.
Interstellar medium in galaxies: molecular, neutral and ionized gas, and dust in local and high redshift galaxies.
Advanced stellar populations and galaxy evolution models.
Cosmic star formation and physical properties of galaxies at different redshifts.
