Spectral attenuation in optical fibers

Benefit description

Spectral attenuation of single-mode (SM) and multimode (MM) fibres. The following services are provided: 1.- Calibration of fibre optic spectral attenuation standards. This includes the calibration of SM and MM fibre optic fibre spectral attenuation standards for OTDR or spectral attenuation measurement equipment. - SM between 1200 nm and 1700 nm. Fibre length between 1 km and 30 km. - MM between 750 nm and 1350 nm. Fibre length between 1 km and 10 km. Measurement of attenuation and discontinuity in fibres, cables or optical fibre networks. - In SM fibres at wavelengths of 1310 nm, 1383 nm, 1550 nm, 1625 nm and 1650 nm. - In MM fibres at wavelengths of 850 nm and 1300 nm. The service price includes the characterisation of up to 2 fibres. For more fibres, please contact the laboratory. 3.- Study of the viability of the fibre as an OTDR attenuation standard. 4.- Calibration of fibres with reference OTDR. - Spectral attenuation calibration of SM fibres at the following wavelengths: 1310 nm, 1383 nm, 1550 nm, 1625 nm and 1650 nm. By means of reference OTDR. - Spectral attenuation calibration of MM fibres at the following wavelengths: 850 nm and 1300 nm. By means of reference OTDR.
