Water, Landscape and Environment

The ATMA group was created in 2009 by initiative of Dr. Navarro García after having launched, some years before, a Permanent Seminar of the same name. The group’s activities have been focused on creating a space for discussion that will encourage unprecedented research activities in the field of water from multiple perspectives and scopes. With all that it has been attempted to leak beyond theme barriers in order to pursue crossed-line researches. It has also been aimed to consolidate this line of work by organizing scientific activities throughout Spain; by participating in international conferences such as the CEISAL-ICA, either as speakers or organizers of international symposia; by collaborating with international networks focused on water studies ̶ like Waterlat or the Network of Social Researchers in the field of water; by creating the scientific journal Agua y Territorio and through a line of publications in cooperation with a network of Latin American universities.
