Service description
SEC-UV-MALS-RI system allows the determination of absolute molecular weight of biomolecules (proteins, nucleic acids, and complexes) from all the species in a sample that undergo fractionation according to size in a gel filtration column.

Prominence Liquid Chromatography (Shimadzu) : DGU (degasser) + LCD20-ADsp (pump) + SIL-20AC (autosampler) + CTO-20AC (column compartment) + SPD-20A (UV-VIS)
MALS and RI detectors (Wyatt): DAWN HELEOS II (MALS) and OPTILAB t-REX (RI)
Available gel filtration columns: Superdex 75, 200 and Superose 6 10/300 Increase (GE) + LW803 and KW802.5 (Shodex)
Sample and buffer requirements:
Preparation of buffer by the user: 1-2L (non-filtered)
Sample injection volume: variable 1-500 microlitres
Sample concentration: flexible, recommended 50-100 micrograms (depending on theoretical Mw) minimum in each injection
