CSIC has found the potential of polyethylene glycol on reducing the severity of acute necrotizing pancreatitis and associated lung injury, thus minimizing the systemic inflammatory response. 

Industrial partners from the pharmaceutical industry are being sought to collaborate through a patent licence agreement.
