MATHEMATICAL MODELLING AND SIMULATION

The Mathematical Modeling and Simulation group is aware of the enormous technological potential of mathematics and seeks to demonstrate it by addressing a wide spectrum of problems with a multidisciplinary mathematical approach, with an emphasis on numerical and computational simulation. Our group brings a unique value to the collaborations it maintains with different groups within ICMAT, CSIC interdisciplinary thematic platforms (Teledetect and PolarCSIC), departments of Engineering, Physics and Earth Sciences from all over the world, as well as to the transfer of knowledge by means of collaboration and creation of spin off companies. Our group works in the following research lines: Line 1. Modelling in microfluidics and technological applications (PI: Marco Fontelos) Line 2. Geophysical fluid dynamics (PI: Ana Maria Mancho)
