El origen y la composición del Universo

The three main lines of research are:
1- Early Universe Cosmology
Studies of the Early Universe are carried out via particle physics theories of inflation, structure formation and their predictions for the CMB, the LSS matter distribution and the primordial GWs.

2- Dark Energy (DE)
The group also investigates the late Universe, exploring ways to understand the nature of DE and the clustering properties of dark matter. The group takes advantage of its access in several photometric/spectroscopic surveys, such as Euclid, LSST, DES and PAU, but also GW surveys like LISA.

3- Dark Matter (DM) and Astroparticle Physics
The aim is to contribute to elucidate the nature of the DM left over from the Big Bang, and to detect it using direct and indirect searches, as well as LHC data. We are involved in major gamma-ray experiments, namely Fermi-LAT and CTA. Group members play leading roles within these collaborations, e.g. coordinating the working groups devoted to DM and cosmic rays.
