Biogeografía integrativa y cambio global

Led by Miguel Araújo and David Vieites, the `Integrative Biology and Global Change¿ group (iBiochange) brings together national and international researchers and students who seek to further understanding in the fields of biogeography, conservation biology, evolutionary biology, global change biology, and macroecology. The group currently includes the 2 group leaders along with 7 postdoctoral fellows, 10 PhD students, 4 master students and 1 technician. Research in the group is driven by four unifying questions: (I) how did past climate changes affect the origin, diversification and distribution of biodiversity?, (II) what are the patterns and processes that drive speciation and diversification, (III) how might current and future environmental changes affect biodiversity?, (IV) how can biodiversity be conserved given current and future challenges?
