Group of Asymmetric Synthesis with Sulfoxides and Boron


Our research group is positioned at MATTER area within the CSIC. Our main line of research is Organic Synthesis. Research in our group is focused on linking the development of synthetic methodology (new reactions, new elements of stereocontrol, etc.) with the synthesis of complex bioactive products. Our contributions in Organic Synthesis have been aimed to fundamental points such as the search of reactions with high regio-, stereo- and enantiocontrol, the asymmetric synthesis of enantiopure compounds using sulfur-based chiral auxiliaries, the functionalization of nitrogen and oxygen heterocycles and the asymmetric synthesis of boronic esters aimed to constrained cycles (3 and 4 carbons) among the organic molecules.
