Neurodrugs

R&D of new drugs for the treatment of neurological diseases, with high traslatational contens. Multidisciplinary group (chemistry, pharmacy and biology) with experience in chemoinformatics, organic synthesis, biological screening, ADMETox properties optimization and technology transfer. Our projects offer new candidates for medicines and knowledge on innovative targets with clear therapeutic potential for unmet diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), depression, stroke, etc. Our research programs are designed from the earliest steps in the drug discovery pipeline until the proof of efficacy in the most relevant animal models for each disease, in deep collaboration with other research groups belonging to the Academia (Univs. of Virginia (USA), Trieste and Parma (Italy), Lisbon and Porto (Portugal), London (UK), UAM, UAB, IIB-CSIC…), Hospitals (LaPaz, La Princesa y H12Oct, Madrid) and Pharmaceutical Companies (Servier, Lilly...)
