Design of digital and mixed-signal integrated circuits

Activities related to the design of integrated circuits and digital systems and its applications. Basically, the activities are focused on the design, implementation and test of digital systems in application specific integrated circuits (ASICs) and FPGA programmable devices; the design and modeling of timing aspects, the influence of noise and low power consumption in digital and mixed-signal integrated circuits; the development of computational intelligence systems by applying techniques based on neural networks and fuzzy logic; the development of microelectronic solutions for security applications (cryptography, biometrics and crypto-biometrics, PUFs, and hardware attacks); and the development of hardware-software for ecology applications. The global CSIC area in which the group is involved is Matter, in the intersection with Society and Life (due to the application domains of our research).
